Steamed Minced Pork with Water Chestnuts



A simple dish that adults and children enjoy. Taste great with rice or congee/porridge.

The water chestnuts in this steamed dish provide a texture that is crunchy and sweet. I normally end up munching a couple of water chestnuts when chopping - it just taste so sweet and irresistible!


Ingredients

200g Pork, minced
3pcs Water Chestnuts, diced
4 pcs Dried Chinese Mushrooms, reconstituted & diced
1 tsp Oyster Sauce
1/2tsp Corn Flour
Ginger, julienned
Salt, a pinch
Sugar, a pinch
Pepper, to taste
Scallions, garnish
Red Chillies, garnish

1. Mix diced Water Chestnuts, reconstituted diced Mushrooms, Oyster Sauce with minced Pork.
2. Add Oyster Sauce, Salt, Sugar & Pepper. Mix.
3. Add Corn Flour. Mix.
4. Add julienned Ginger. Mix
5. Bring water in steamer to boil. Put on steamer rack the mixed ingredients.
6. Steam for 10 minutes.
7. Serve with garnishing.
